I Wanna Go

This outfit is practically all diy! The blazer's sleeves were cut off and the skirt looked a bit out of my grandmother's closet before I ran some scissors through it. I love when spring comes around because it means you can to cut and rip your clothes apart creating unique or very trendy pieces. Apart from that there's also thrifting! People don't understand how much of a compulsive thrifter I am. Thrifting and upcycling clothes are two things I can't ever get tired of. I may post some diys soon, I tend to go diy insane when it comes to spring and summer! Well have an amazing week! I'll be back soon with a thrifting haul and a bit of pictures that have really been influencing my spring shopping!

Off for the day

My favorite season is spring ironically I have the worst allergies during spring. How can these beautiful days bring me such pain? At least I got a day off school, but first I had to wake up to a awful head ache and what seemed like a rubber band around my throat. Apart form that my day was great had an awesome time hanging out with my little brother. We spent time on the swings and even had our our little picnic. He is also the one who took these pictures, pretty good for a four year old I think.

Bowery

An extra post today, who is ever going to understand me, I either update to often or not at all. I promise to get that fixed! Well, out for errands getting ready for some family time tonight. So I did some layering which included my bottoms today because change is good. Lately I've been changing my diet and finally becoming a bit more active, I can honestly say it makes such a difference you feel amazing. I am thinking of adding some recipes and juices to this blog. I recently made a strawberry, orange and carrot juice, which was great!  Now, unlike most people, I love waking up early during the weekends! Getting up a few hours earlier gives you so much time, since the sun does disappear so fast. I'm looking forward to spring break no sleeping in I have to keep my sleeping schedule.
Hope you guys have amazing plans for spring break!

Wild and Unruly

I was always told to use heat protection on my hair, not to use excessive heat, and to just let my curly locks be. I tend to be stubborn and I, as usual, didn't listen. Even the fact that I am a cosmetology student knowing pretty much perfectly how the hair works... I fried my hair. Now the world has the real frizzy haired girl from The Croods walking around. I won't be touching any heating tools for the next few month I hope I can go through with it. It's just strange dressing up and having your hair look like a wild animal on your head, but I guess that's when hats come in handy. This bowler hat is my favorite I wouldn't mind having to wear it everyday. I paired it with a tan circle skirt and a lace long sleeve, since it is a bit chilly out I added some knee highs and my worn out wedged booties.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Hit the road

This past weekend I went off on a road trip with my family, to be honest I was not looking forward to it. It actually turned out an amazing idea! Spending some time together outside of home was highly needed, we hadn't been out of town for over 6 months. We spend time at some historical monuments, small museums and some of those huge stereotypical Texan gas station where you see nothing but cowboys on coffee mugs and hats.
I had forgotten how uncomfortable a car can be after a while, good thing I wore a comfy outfit. It was a bit chilly out so I layered some sweaters and added some tights, and the obvious spike shoes. I am warning you, try not to hate me because, you will be seeing them until they are completely wrecked!
I can't believe how fast the week has gone by there is so much to do and I'm the biggest procrastinator out there.
Hope you've had a great week so far!

Bad Kids

It's the weekend and you know what that means... I get to sleep! Yes I know such a homebody, but that's me. This Saturday there was a culture show at school which I was participating in, it made my weekend a bit different, it was fun and even with a bit of technical difficulties it turned out pretty great! So I assembled this for the show comfy yet cute, and yes kill but I will not take those shoes off my feet for as long as I live or find  better ones. Now off to my regular Sunday schedule which doesn't include much, just a date with Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon Levitt! Yes, the famous 500 Days of Summer if you've never heard of this movie... I think you must have been under a rock for the past 4 years and must watch it as soon as you're out! Not only is the movie great but its soundtrack is more than perfect. Now let me not not bore you to death by going on and on about this movie!
Have a great day and a lovely Monday!

Wild Flowers

Happy Valentines Day!
Today the weather couldn't of been better, it was such a lovely day something I really wasn't expecting. Last year I wore black, because "forever alone", but this year I decided to change things and make it a great day and it was. I spent my day eating cupcakes and thrifting. I found great pieces, I can't wait to style them! In this outfit there is only one thrifted piece which is the gold shirt you can hardly see. The rest includes h&m, jcp and forever 21. I really adore the contrast of all the colors and the flowiness of the long maxi skirt.  I felt like running across a field of wild flowers, I guess you can say I dress according to my mood and today I felt free!

Cliche

So it's valentines day eve you know what that means! Off to buy chocolate, cupcakes, roses and everything that has a splash of pink or red to accompany me while I drown in tears watching romantic comedies. Forever alone guys... forever alone! Joking, joking, joking. I feel like a weirdo, at my age, since I seem to be the only one who loves being single because I mean I only get to be 17 and 18 and 19 and 20 and so on once so why worry about guys. I'm I right or I'm I right? Then again my heart is taken by One Direction, yes you probably hate me now but I can't help it once they get you there is no going back! Before I go on and on about being completely in love with Niall Horan, lets move on and talk about the outfit. I've never been great at layering, finally last night creativity struck and I think I did a pretty decent job!
Hope you have a Lovely Valentines day! (:

Under the weather

Yes, I have been under the weather for the past almost two weeks. Winter rains aren't any fun neither are allergies... add those two up and you get chaos. Thank goodness I've successfully recovered from that also has the weather. This hibernation stage I'm in needs to be over, I need sunshine and lots of it! NOW. There is nothing better than wearing a bright happy outfit to boost up your mood so I paired my recently thrifted Beatles shirt, light jean jacket & very 60's pleated skirt with some edgy loafers I found at Foreign Exchange. Which by the way are attached to my feet I can't get enough of them they just make every outfit a thousand times better! Other than that I'm about to begin my room's makeover!
Have a lovely day (:

Stepping out of my comfort zone.

Well, this has been a great start to this whole "try new things" resolution. *sarcasm*
I've been absent for the past month, I wish I could say I went off on an adventure of a life time and had no absolute time to look at my blog. Sadly that's not the case I've been mistreating my laptop for the past month leaving the poor thing all on it's own with no one to hold, but I am back and here to stay! I've honestly been up to no good and eating junk food like there's no tomorrow. Other than my rebellious eating  it is also that time of year when finals struck and everyone freaks because... senioritis, which I surfer of, reveals its true colors and they aren't too pretty. Thanks to the gods I am officially done with finals but I'm left having to deal with senioritis for the next 4 months and all sorts of "What will I do with my life after high school!??!" questions, that are becoming a bit of a ramble, in the back of my head. To start this into real life journey I am beginning to apply for work at different salons. The truth is that I'm scared out of my mind I've been stuck i my little comfort zone for the past 17 years, but now I have to put on my big girl pants stop whining. Fear my be clouding my mind but as I write this I can honestly say excitement is taking over me. There are so many new opportunities that are coming my way! I wonder where life will take me.. the place I've always imagined or maybe I belong somewhere else. As long as I'm happy, because that's what matters.
Happy Late New Years! (:
Now here are some of the few pictures, also I forgot to mention I now have short blue hair!
 I

I met Whataburger this winter break (:

I am on a dyi bow frenzy!

You can see the junk food I keep in my room and my hardly used make up.
